Folkestone Film Festival is currently celebrating its 3rd season on FilmFreeway. Their Folkestone Independent Film Awards are an IMDB QUALIFYING FILM AWARD. The festival holds regular screenings in Folkestone and its Creative Quarter. They accept submissions from all around the world, and filmmakers are welcome to be as experimental as they wish.
Folkestone Film Festival champion independent filmmakers with original ideas and good production values. Subtitles are encouraged but not compulsory. The festivals panel of filmmakers and vocational artists endeavour to provide selected films with custom laurels and bespoke artworks.
The festival is an ongoing event which holds regular monthly indoor/outdoor screenings. Selected submissions are notified via email, and posted on social media. Awards events are scheduled annually and filmmakers are invited to celebrate with the organisers. Winners will receive custom laurels, bespoke artworks, and trophies at the festival’s annual gala event.
Movie Central will be following three shorts and their adventures in the film festival world over the next few months. ‘Watch Me Play‘ is Susanda Wolf‘s first short. It runs for 55 sec and tells a compelling story. Completed in March this year, it has been selected for numerous festivals and was shot on a Samsung Fold 4. It is screening at the Folkestone Festival on 1st October.
