Bob (Slater) is a nobody in a big corporation, and gets the run around from all and sundry. He lives an introverted life. He even imagines his fish talking back to him. Finally he snaps and takes a gun into work, planning to massacre a number of workers before shooting himself. At the crucial moment he drops a bullet from his gun and whilst under his desk reaching for it another worker who has had the same idea as Bob, actually does start shooting. Soon there are just two men, each with a gun, and when the smoke clears Bob finds himself a hero. Suddenly he has a company car, a big office and expensive budget. He also has to go and get Vanessa (Cuthbert) out of hospital. The pretty co-worker is now paralysed and wishes that she had dies that day. Slowly Bob's attentions make her begin to enjoy life, but he slowly realises the truth behind her ise in the company and her relationship with the big boss Gene Shelby (Macy).

The title is often spoken by witnesses who are asked about a worker or neighbour who has flown off the handle. Here Slater, in his best screen role for a decade, takes us behind the mask of one of these men who live in the shadows, but how can he cope being thrust into the spotlight and now rubbing shoulders with guys who used to despise him. The painfully shy guy also comes out of his shell when he gets to spend time with Vanessa.

This wasn't released at cinemas, but I don't know why, as it is far superior to a lot of rubbish that is released. Slater is a revelation, and Cuthbert who had never impressed me in her outings in 24, also shows hidden depths.
